Philadelphia – The City of Death, Part One

An observation of why the murders continue

Mostly known as the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia has built a new reputation in our country. Instead of exhibiting kindness, residents are now wanted criminals and murder victims. This has affected hundreds of families throughout the city. There should be no surprise that the tourism percentages will begin to decline. Visitors from out of the state will not come to Philadelphia if locals are constantly killing each other.

While it is easy to eventually become desensitized to a city filled with death, crime must be stopped. Children can no longer play outside without their parents fearing the worst. In Philadelphia, you start to think that your son or daughter is dead when they do not come home at their usual time. There are many factors that have caused the rise in Philadelphia’s murder rate in 2007. These issues should be identified and fully tackled to bring about change in a city with blood on its hands.

“No Snitch” mindset
The Philadelphia police department is fed up with an ongoing “No Snitch” mindset that has become the norm among residents. People who may be helpful in the prosecution of criminals will not speak up. This is due to intimidation by the criminals themselves and other careless beings. Lack of assistance from local Philadelphia residents leaves law enforcement without reliable witnesses. As a result, criminals are not sent to prison where they belong. This “No Snitch” mindset has given ongoing and would-be criminals a free pass to do anything that they want.

If people are not being held accountable for their actions, no one is going to worry about going to jail. The Philadelphia murder rate will continue to get worse if this does not change. Men and women do not realize that by not providing the authorities with useful information, they are contributing to injustice for everyone. The same person who does not cooperate with the police is the same individual who will be looking for help and witnesses if his (or her) friend or loved one was murdered. Do for others what you would want done for yourself.

Drugs
A high volume of drug use is nothing new in Philadelphia. However, this does contribute to the high murder rate. People who are on drugs commit actions that they would not normally carry out. This is a factor that may not be easy to control or eliminate. It is still worth taking actions toward decreasing drug use in Philadelphia. Many drug addicts and dealers do not care about anyone or anything. This is a dangerous area to leave ignore in a fatal city.

5 Reasons why Men and Women become Fashion models

They have A Real Interest in Fashion
Men and women become fashion models because they have a valid interest in the fashion industry. Many people attend fashion school in hopes of starting their own clothing line or managing a boutique. However, everyone does not end up going that route. There are other opportunities that fashion professionals can pursue. Modeling is one of these breaks. There are models that are very serious about their work and knowledgeable about various aspects of the fashion industry. These men and women enjoy the clothes that they model and speak highly of their job.

They are Overly Conceited
It is ridiculous that people in our society raise children up to be arrogant monsters who believe that they are above everyone. Unfortunately, that is the truth when it comes to
the mindset of some male and female fashion models. They have chosen to work in one particular industry to exhibit their “greatness” and get paid for it. One sad reality is that there are men and women fashion models who think that companies owe them money, fame and jewels because of their outward appearance. Egotism is another reason why men and women become fashion models.

The have Converted over from acting
Much like many areas of entertainment, a successful acting career is not guaranteed. Men and women who move to New York and California with aspirations to become the next Hollywood star change their minds in time. Since the motion picture industry is not the only employer in these large cities, actors and actresses may take advantage of other great offers. This is not to say that people give up on their goals. However, some may tend to change their mind when offered a lucrative fashion modeling contract.

Their modeling started as a result of Accidental Opportunities and Discovery
I have read many interviews with models who say that they “fell” into their careers. It may be difficult for some to believe, but this is another reason why men and women become models. There are people in our society who have not yet figured out what they want to do as a profession. During times like this, an opportunity to model sounds like something great to the person who is no quite sure about their goals. Anyone can learn how to walk down a runway and represent the next high-end clothing line. For many women and men, fashion modeling is merely a really good job.

It is easier than Ever for men and women to become a model
The growth of reality television has taken the professional interview process to another level. America’s Next Top Model is among the list of reality TV shows that give women a chance to obtain a modeling contract. Contestants compete against each other to win one grand prize. Those who do not win TV challenges like Amerca’s Next Top Model still leave with a portfolio of work that can help them start a modeling career. Many years ago, it was not this easy for men and women trying to enter the fashion industry. Now, almost anyone can try out for a modeling contest and possibly become a star.

2 Million Comments

Many of us read and view postings online, but all of us may not leave a comment. Feedback is always a great addition. While I try to comment on as many blogs, articles and other media that I come across online, there is usually not enough time in the day to cover everything. I am starting an experiment to see how many people can take a few minutes to leave a comment on something that they have seen online before moving on to something else like email, another website or online chat.

Good comments are usually thought provoking and longer than one word such as "Lol" or "Cool". Ok, the latter was four words, but I am sure that my point remains clear.
Want to play? Good. The best comment left will recieve a prize on a soon to be announced date. It could be a cool gadget, it could be money or it could be something else. Reading this post does not really count since it is merely an explanation of my recent findings and curiosity. So, we can start with something quick and easy. Watch this 1 minute sketch comedy video and then leave your comment about the video here, on this post.

Spread the word....after leaving your comment, forward this post to your friends and/or online buddies and tell them to leave a comment as well.

It will be interesting to see the perspectives of our society.

'til next time, have fun!

Girls in Panties: Tired of the online Spam!

There are great videos online. They are funny and enlightening. I am sure that many of you have found a cool video on Youtube, Google, Aol or other favorite video websites. However, it seems so difficult to find entertaining videos when having to sort through pages of junk. This frustration is felt not only by viewers, but also by many video creators. People upload their great piece of work only to find out that they are buried under a pile of trash.....called Spam!

This spam is posted in the comment section, forums and as videos. A lot of the videos being posted online is pure junk. I am sure that there are many people who can agree with this. I am talking about the videos that last for 3 minutes or maybe a few seconds and all you see is a computer screen showing a pixelated website, or pets that sit on a chair and do nothing. This is ridiculous.

There is also another type of online spam taking up many of the user generated media websites including youtube. The creators of this junk post videos containing women walking down the street, getting dressed or dancing around in bikini's. An observation of the world of online video was recently published. It is appropriately titled "Why Soft-core Porn Spammers Are Ruining the Online Video Platform". The publisher changed my original title, but that is alright. The point is still able to get across to those who need to understand many people are tired of this video spam.

Adult Priviledges and Disadvantages

As we grow older, there are many things that we did when we were younger that we can no longer do. For some people, that is playing sports or musical instruments. Take a moment to think about some things that you used to do as a child. What comes to mind?
I have recently made a list of a few general things that the average person may not be able to do as an adult. This list may or may not be surprising.
